So while most of us are holed up in our house , I suppose we will get reasonably bored . There are only so many Netflix videos I can watch . I ’m a spot scale appalled and finding trouble get motivated justly now to do anything . But I must . I ca n’t sit around here moping around when actually there are many things I could do around the house and garden .
Since I require to do something else and I am a nurseryman , I can start induce my garden up to speed . There are always things I never seem to have enough fourth dimension to do during the garden season as planting always look at common law . Well , now I have the time to do some of those garden chore I always seem to put off . Plus I can share more on my blog with all this metre off .
So what am I going to do ? First , I have a circle of coolheaded time of year veggies started in my house under grow lights . Lettuce , spinach , chard , beets , fava beans , onions and peas are growing inside and just wait to go outdoors . But not in the next few day as we are moth-eaten in the twenty-four hours and freeze down at night . So they will stay tucked in the house for a few more days before I graft them outdoors in my main garden . When I do put them outside , I will put row screen over them at night . If you do n’t have wintertime weighting row , then two layers of intermediate exercising weight will do work to protect them . Do n’t forget to water .
Meanwhile there are many other gardening chores I can do . Here is my listing so far :
-The razzing take to be lop now before new growth comes in
-The greenhouse needs a fresh coat of paint
-I require to set forth Modern compost lot and sour old unity
-feed my worms in my vermicompost great deal . Screen some of the molding out to put in the hole when I do flora
-The greenhouse want to be tidy up and reorganized .
-Collect stuff and nonsense I call for to take to the dump . Are they even open properly now ?
-Weeds - perpetrate any that are fare up right now or take your hoe and scrape the priming coat , disregard them off before they get big
-Rake and smooth out my raised layer
-Add 2 inches of compost on each bed and sprinkle a little Azomite on each bed to remineralize them
-Lightly graze in the compost and azomite in the beds
-Start tomato seeds at end of March
-Order garden stuff from Amazon
-Watch gardening clips on Youtube
-Cook my raw tomato plant sauce that is in my freezer from last season and make some beneficial pasta sauce .
-If you have n’t start out any plants , you may set any cool weather SEEDS OUTSIDE like Spinacia oleracea and beets .
-Plant lettuce , carrots , more beets and chard in April
-I’m certain there are wad more things to do but it is exhausting just thinking about them - guess I ’ll go take a nap !
