Recyclability is again an important topic at the show . But more sustainable opening are on display . Varieties that require less usage of   PGRs , energy and substrate with less peat are some instance . When strolling down the aisles , one can notice that the sustainable drift is appearing in all links of the chemical chain .

Germany is one of the countries that is at the forefront of the more environmentally friendly movement . retailer are banning the black credit card as it can not be notice in the bin and therefore can not be recycled . On top of that , using post - consumer plastics for packaging is being seen as the most effective and unopen - loop agency of recycling .

The IPM is not the show for the insertion of Modern varieties - the FlowerTrials in June is more dedicated to that - but the new and particularly the sustainable characteristics of the gaud of the breeders are highlight . Important , besides the appearing , is that they impart to the usance of less resources . And one significant resource that the German governing wants to reduce in the coming years is their use of peat . Therefore more and more substrate recipe with less peat are on display as well .

Of course , there are much more sustainable initiative on display that we have not hash out in this clause .
