Mano Y Mano

I got my first professional manicure on my wedding day- 7 longsighted , looooong , loooooooooong years ago . The manicurist told me that , in the futurity , I could just redeem my $ 24 because my hired man would never attend like those of a cultured noblewoman . I ’m a turbo weeding machine and my paw and nail show it . I ’m Scarlett O’Hara after the warfare and I ’ve been working hard in the field to fertilize my thankless kinsperson and nobody ’s going to buy the line that I forgot to bear my gloves when I went out out riding . Nobody .

The calluses on my first digit on my right hired man are my first and best garden shaft . I ’m not ashamed , horticulture is pretty much the whole enchilada for me – But it ’d be courteous to look urbane every once in a while . I could have my enchilada and eat on it too .

For the last 7 years I ’ve paint my nail a fistful of times , usually in January , with interracial to pitiable upshot . Currently the thumb on my left hand is STILL zebra print because I ca n’t seem to get it off , even though I induce the other 9 digits zebra - free ( you just apply nail polish remover and a lot of elbow grease ) .

I have a box of leopard print ready for my next round . I bet I can get it to last until wintertime . Think of all the gloam unobjectionable - ups , rake leave-taking , found bulbs , cleaned pots , potted dusk annuals … All with a perfect 10 !

I never thought I ’d see the day- and neither did that first manicurist I had 7 years ago … .
