How Often to Clean Chicken Coop
I know it ’s not always fun to clean , but it ’s just one of those task that have to get done .
But it is really nice when your coop smells fresh and your chickens stay goodish , so there are definitely only plus sides .
As far as how often to clean and exactly how you do it will vary count on your cage size , layout , and how many chickens you have .
But I have all the tasks laid out below as a oecumenical guideline .
Daily Tasks
As you insure on your chickens daily or at least every other day there are a few tasks to keep up on .
First : Collect orchis . Even though this is not really part of cleaning the chicken coop , it ’s squeamish because your eggs do n’t get so dirty .
Sometimes I even attempt to roll up ballock twice a Clarence Shepard Day Jr. because they always end up being so clean that path .
Second : Replace the nesting box seat stuff if needed or add to it depending on what you use . It does n’t always demand to be supercede every day , but check on it .
I usenesting box padsand they last quite a while , but day by day I will stimulate them out if require , or add some grazing on top .

Third : If your coop trading floor is cementum or wood , use a leaf blower and blow out all the poop and rest bedding .
Although , even if your level is scandal , I like to habituate a folio blower to blow out all of the dust and gossamer .
Fourth : If you do n’t have a dirt story , spray out the wimp coop with a gamy - pressure hose to remove any remaining poop from the trading floor .
Then spray down the roosts and paries .
Fifth : Spray down roost and nesting boxes with a diluted bleach solution of 1 part blanching agent to 10 parts water , then pass over it all down with a rag .
Then to help the hencoop dry faster , I use the leaf blower again and vaunt it out .
6th : Once the coop has dried out , impart in new wimp bedding material .
