Healthy bee universe are vital to keeping your fruit tree diagram and gardens happy . Though some plants are current of air pollinated ( or even fly pollinated like pawpaws ) , many rely on intemperately - work bees to put fruit .
When the bee populations dismiss , so does the productivity of those plant .

Another thing to remember : all the bees on your property do n’t necessitate to be honeybee . There are a wide form of fantabulous pollinating bees that will add up to your homestead for the bloom … and stay for your warm hospitality .

When you have an aphid job or an infestation of stinkbugs , you must resist the itch to bust out the Malathion – you WILL kill bee and other good guys . I hate the view of these euphemistic small creatures follow to my garden for ambrosia and being poison in the process . It just coin me as an ugly and sinful thing .

In related news , Allen the Beekeeper and I are writing a book on beekeeping in the South which will hopefully be wind up this week . He has a monumental amount of beekeeping knowledge … and I ’ve got the authorship acquisition to get that cognition down into a Bible . Together we ’re creating a really skillful imagination and I ’m stoke that he decided to work with me on it . I could never have written anything this in - depth on bees without Allen .
Our climate is uniquely difficult for raising sizable bees ; however , with some tweaking it can be done successfully . It ’s a hard road these day but not impossible .
