Even more inspiring scenes from Nancy’s collectors garden in Washington
glad Friday GPODers !
I hope the first couple days of 2025 have treated you well . To get the class started on the right-hand foot , we ’re back in Nancy Heckler ’s garden to see more of the tour Cherry Ong was treat to last fall . Nancy ’s garden in Indianola , Washington is a wonderful aggregation of colorful and lush planting woven together with an artful eye . If you ’ve miss the first two parts in this series , you should utterly go back and check those out ( Part 1andPart 2 ) .
Today we will be enter a new garden room know as Nancy ’s Hideaway@nancy.heckler . The paths are narrow but filled with all kinds of treasures so be sure to look left , right , above and below . One of these is a fern table . I ’ve been inspired by them after watchingRichie Steffen’svideos(Check out a full , in - depthvideo from the Hardy Fern Foundation , here)and plan to make one for my own garden someday .

Again Brocc welcoming you to our virtual tour .
From shiny and light to saturnine and showy , Nancy has an incredible mix of just about every kind of foliage you may imagine . She also does n’t miss any opportunity to add extra interest and art . This picayune bed is hold by an amazing fencing of woven branches .
An another example of a great foliage sketch like the ones we sawlast week . All of these plants have similar color and shininess , but the immensely different texture and sort make the combining still incredibly interesting .

As Cherry so perfectly key above , the way that lead to Nancy ’s Hideaway are teeming with bewitching details . you’re able to evidence everything is added to Nancy ’s garden with tending and meaning , not just her plant . From the lot of gallery Sir Henry Wood on the left , to antique lacrimation can and brilliant ruby-red urine heart .
Nancy commit that this is a very sentimental piece made by a good friend who die of genus Cancer .
What a delightful fern tabular array ! Here ’s how to build one : Building a Fern Table with Richie Steffen

Another immersive way , this one stepping Lucy Stone that are even more beautiful this time of year with the added sprinkling of fallen leaves . I love that Nancy ’s garden is very reminiscent of hike trails I saw when I visited the Pacific Northwest in 2023 , obtuse with plant life life and tree diagram cover . Her landscape painting is a fabulous reflection of the landscape that besiege , with the sum beaut of a gardener ’s tactile sensation .
So much of the leafage in Nancy ’s garden is gloriously glossy . Even when not flowering , this rhododendron is a base out .
While we ’ve seen a lot of the amazing vignettes that Nancy is able to create from group container plants together , she is also able to craft unbelievable compounding in a stand - alone pot . Without a unmarried heyday , she is able to vibrate , fill , and spill with all kinds of magnificent colors and textures .

I ’m not certain what I ’m more envious of , Nancy ’s incredible plant collection or who amazing assortment of containers ! Anything growing from this stunning planter would become a focal point . And more glossy and bright leaf really make believe this area glow .
Lastly , another example of Nancy ’s interesting garden art . In the last partof this series , Cherry demonstrate off an example of the hoot sculpture and artistry that can be base near each of Nancy ’s garden gates . But this adorable triad of moss - covered sens shows that she represents other beast throughout her space .
Thank you again for sharing more of your visit to Nancy ’s garden with us , Cherry ! It ’s been such an exciting garden to search , and I ’m sorry that we only have one more submission in this series .
