Favorite plants and seed-grown trees
We lately visited Carol ’s wintertime garden in Hendersonville , North Carolina ( Carol ’s Winter Garden ) , and today we ’re point back to see more of her beauties . Carol has been garden here since 2009 , and the garden has evolved and matured in beautiful ways during that time .
The tree with the smallyellow flowersby the bridge in this picture isCornusofficinalis(Zones 5–8 ) . Amazingly , Carol grew this tree from cum she pile up atLongwood Gardens , where she completed their credentials course of action for gardeners .
ThisJuniperusrigida(Zones 5–7 ) , another incredible seed - grown tree , is a beautiful specimen . Carol says it is one of the prickliestconifersshe ’s ever know .

Ahoneybeehas come by to get some ambrosia and pollen from these other - bloomingcrocuses(Zones 3–8 ) .
Hellebores ( Helleborushybrids , Zones 4–8 ) take off so early , and the blossom last a very long prison term in the cool temperatures of outpouring .
Helleborescome in a all-encompassing color reach . This especially dark one is incredible .

This big clump of the snowdropGalanthus‘Primrose Walburg ’ ( Zones 3–8 ) is arresting , with yellow-bellied ovary and spots on the interior petals adding extra color and beauty .
