Diane is embracing all that spring has to offer in Chicago , ajuga and all !
" As most of us have it off , I can not get enough of the vibrant spring colors , especially after a long winter . Now we are in a rainy , cold charm that does not want to let up here in Chicago Land , but watching industrial plant emerge and grow is so exciting ! Last spill I removed what little grass I had left in front , added the flag in ordering to take the air through , and still create a molding . I planted ' Chocolate Chip ' ajuga as a ground blanket . I had been wrestle with grass for twelvemonth . It always wait dandy in Spring , but as the summer wear on between the root competitor of the bounteous silvern maple ( I would love to take it out ! – it is the ONLY matter that was in my yard when I moved in 21 years ago ! ) , and just the beating of the Lord’s Day , it would cease up a mess . I am astonied at how much the ajuga has open ! As shortly as the flowers are finish , I will cut them off and then the yard will expect more like a yard , yet will be more indestructible ! Some film from the front , some from the back . I hope you enjoy them ! "
